UCLA Hosts CMPS National Advisory Board Meeting
From May 31 to June 2, 2023, the Collaborative Multiracial Post-Election Survey (CMPS) held its annual National Advisory Board meeting at UCLA. The CMPS completed its fourth data collection cycle and its second as a cooperative survey (2016 and 2020). With support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the 2020 CMPS and the CMPS Scholars Research Network includes a consortium of over 240 scholars, across 100 universities/colleges in the United States and Canada.
Our in-person board meeting, with our working group structure, allowed the board to engage one another in a collaborative space, to promote greater participation, feedback, and team building for the journey of collective work ahead. Our overall goals of the in-person board meeting were to examine best practices and lessons learned from the 2020 cycle, and to advance and expand a working group structure to prepare to launch the next cycle of the CMPS in 2024.
